REACH OUT - Our Communities

Church Of Singapore wants to bless and meet the needs of the community. Therefore, in 1977, we started Tung Ling Kindergarten to provide pre-school care and education children in our neighbourhood.

In 1991, to minister to the elderly sick in the community, we combined efforts with other churches and three para-church organizations to found St Luke’s Hospital. Eventually, our church and St Luke’s Hospital joined forces to start an Eldercare Ministry – St Luke’s Elder Care Centre at Lorong Ah Soo and Changkat Tampines.

In 1995, we embarked on yet another endeavor – the Tung Ling Student Care Centre. And finally in 2000, we started Tung Ling Elder Care Centre and Aljunied Kembangan – Tung Ling Student Care Centre as a holistic approach towards our community.

STH

Church of Singapore sees the need to minister to the elderly sick and to help the poor. In 1996, together with 7 other churches and organizations, we co-founded St Luke’s Hospital as a Christian-managed voluntary welfare organisation. Our members participate in ministering to these elderly sick through prayers, visitation and Chaplaincy ministry.

Since 2000, our church has partnered SLEC in the operational management and financial support of 3 Eldercare centres – Tampines, Hougang & Marine Parine.
