1) The Bible, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments as originally given, is God’s unique revelation to people. It is the inspired, infallible Word of God, and the supreme and final authority on all matters upon which it teaches. No other writings are vested with such divine authority.
2) There is only one God, creator of heaven and earth, who co-exists eternally as three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, each fully God yet each personally distinct from the other. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit receive our worship alike.
3) All people are created in God’s image and matter deeply to Him. Central to the message of the Bible is that God loves people, and invites them to live in communion with Himself and in community with each other.
4) Apart from Jesus Christ, all people are spiritually lost and, because of sin, deserve the judgment of God. However, God gives salvation and eternal life to anyone who trusts in Jesus Christ and in His sacrifice on his or her behalf. Salvation cannot be earned through personal goodness or human effort. It is a gift that must be received by humble repentance and belief that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the remission of sins of all people.
5) Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless human life, willingly took upon Himself all of our sins, died on the cross and rose again bodily ascended to heaven, and is at the right hand of the Father as our advocate and mediator.
6) The Holy Spirit has come into the world to reveal and glorify Christ and to apply the saving work of Christ to men. He convicts and draws sinners to Christ, imparts new life to them, continually indwells them from the moment of spiritual birth and seals them until the day of redemption.
7) Water baptism is necessary by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in order to fulfill the command of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is a symbol of identification with the Lord Jesus Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.
8) The baptism of the Holy Spirit is an important experience available to every believer to obtain Divine power to witness for Him. He helps to empower the believer with spiritual gifts and to develop the character of Christ and live every day in God’s will.
9) The Lord’s Table, commonly called “communion” or “the Lord’s Supper”, is a symbolic act of obedience whereby believers, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the birth, death, resurrection of the Redeemer and anticipate Jesus Christ’s second coming.
10) We believe in the reality and personality of the Devil and eternal judgment in the lake of fire for the Devil and his angels that followed him to rebel against God.
11) Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment. At the final judgment, unbelievers will be under the condemnation and wrath of God. Believers will be received into the glory of God and rewarded for their faithfulness to Him in this life.
12) There is one true universal Church, made up of genuine believers, but this one universal Church is also composed of many local churches in given localities. These churches are under the sovereign headship of the Lord Jesus Christ, exercising autonomous government under Him, administering all its local affairs and ministry, as well as the propagation of the gospel. Believers are to grow and build themselves up in love, to be united in the Spirit and faith and to be one in Christ.
13) As the Lord Jesus ascended to his Father, so He will return personally, visibly and in glory. He will raise the dead and bring salvation and judgment to final completion. God will then fully establish his Kingdom and finish the new creation – a new heaven and a new earth from which all evil and evildoers, all suffering and death, will be excluded and in which God will be glorified forever.
