Why Should We Be Baptised In Water

Jesus commanded it (Mk 16:6, Mt 28:16-20)

Jesus Himself was baptised (Mt 3:13-17)

The Apostles commanded it (Ac 2:37-47, 10:44-48)

If we love Him, we will keep and obey His commandments (Jn 14:15)

We validate our faith by our obedience to His word (Jas 2:17-18)

Are you a new believer?

If you have made a commitment to accept Jesus Christ as your personal saviour, come and declare your faith in Him through baptism.

What is Water Baptism?

TO BAPTISE MEANS
“To dip, to plunge, to immerse” (Mk 1:5, Jn 3:23, Ac 8:36-39). By definition and usage, the word means ‘to put into or under water so as to entirely immerse or submerge”

BAPTISM IS

  • An act of obedience attesting to our repentance and faith (Ac 2:38, 41, 8:37-38)
  • Symbolic of cleansing from sin (Ac 22:16, Rev 1:5)

BAPTISM HAS
To do with the circumcision of the heart (Col 2:11-12)

All baptismal candidates are to attend a 5- week Christian Foundation Course “Spiritual Milk”. Through this course, you will glean a better understanding of your new life as a believer of Christ. This course is also suitable for anyone who would like to find out more about the Christian faith. The course is organised as follows: 

  • Growth
    As a new-born babe needs milk to sustain his life and grow healthily, likewise a new believer in Christ needs the spiritual milk of God’s Word to grow in Him.
  • Learn
    Our dedicated teachers will break down each session and go through topics where you can ask questions and maximise your learning with a guided structure.
  • Group Discussion
    Learn more as you discuss your answers with your fellow brothers and sisters that you meet with each week who are walking together on this journey with you!
